Technology and know-how

Graphene Technology

At Kyorene®, graphene is the foundation of our innovation.

Graphene is a single layer of carbon atoms arranged in a hexagonal lattice. When stacked, it forms graphite, one of the most common natural materials on Earth.

Graphene is considered one of the most advanced materials ever discovered due to its unique combination of properties:

  • high mechanical strength
  • exceptional light weight
  • high thermal conductivity
  • flexibility and transparency
  • Electrical conductivity potential
  • Surface interaction characteristics

These properties make graphene ideal for high-performance applications such as protective gloves and technical textiles.

By integrating graphene into our fiber systems, we enhance key performance characteristics of the final product:

  • Cut and abrasion resistance
  • Durability over time
  • Comfort during prolonged use
  • Bacteriostatic properties
  • Hygiene and odor control
  • Thermal stability
  • UV Protection

This is why graphene is at the core of our cut-resistant glove technology, designed for professionals working in demanding industrial environments.

How Kyorene® graphene fiber is made

Our technology is based on a controlled and patented transformation process.
We start with raw graphite and process it into graphene by separating it into ultra-thin layers. The material is then transformed into Graphene Oxide (GO), which allows it to be integrated into textile systems.

The key step in our technology is the bonding process which permanently integrates graphene into the yarn structure. This ensures that graphene becomes an integral part of the fiber structure, meaning it:

  • Does not flake or shed
  • Remains stable over time
  • Is permanently embedded in the yarn
  • Maintains consistent performance throughout the product lifecycle

This is what differentiates Kyorene® graphene fiber from surface-coated or temporary treatments.

From gloves to advanced applications

Originally developed for protective gloves, Kyorene® graphene technology is now expanding into multiple textile categories due to its versatility and performance benefits.

Applications include:

  • Technical and performance apparel
  • Workwear
  • Sportswear and activewear
  • Socks and underwear
  • Denim, jackets, and outerwear
  • Home and lifestyle textiles such as towels, bedding, and mattress ticking
  • Water filtration systems
  • Hygiene-related applications such as toothbrush bristles

Across all applications, graphene improves comfort, durability, and functional performance.

KYORENE® WHITE

Advanced technology for hygiene-sensitive and controlled environments.

Kyorene® White is a graphene-based technology built on white graphene (hexagonal boron nitride, h-BN), designed for applications where hygiene, cleanliness and comfort are essential.
It is a complementary technology within the

Kyorene® family, developed to enhance key performance areas such as thermal comfort, hygiene, durability and user well-being in demanding professional environments.

Key features

Thermal regulation

Helps dissipate excess heat, providing a cooling sensation in warm environments and maintaining a balanced microclimate inside the glove.

Uses non-toxic, skin-compatible materials that support hygienic use in daily working conditions and remain gentle and comfortable during prolonged skin contact.

Promotes airflow through the fabric structure to reduce heat and moisture build-up, while its wear-resistant fibers help keep hands dry, comfortable and protected throughout the workday.

Why Kyorene® Graphene Technology

We combine:

  • Proprietary graphene fiber technology
  • Industrial-scale production capability
  • Vertical integration through QS Safety Group
  • Certified quality and sustainability systems
  • Continuous innovation in PPE and textiles

This allows us to redefine performance standards in protective gloves and advanced materials.
