Graphene Technology

What is graphene?

Graphene is an allotrope of carbon, a two-dimensional structure in a honeycomb lattice construction that is just one atom thick. When one million layers of graphene are stacked together, they form graphite, a carbon-based mineral that is the most abundant material on Earth.

Why graphene?

Graphene is one million times thinner than a sheet of paper, 200 times stronger than steel, harder than diamond, flexible, transparent, conductive, and inherently bacteriostatic, thermal-regulating, and odor-neutralizing. These unique properties make graphene the perfect material for creating safe, comfortable maintenance gloves suitable for industries like automotive, aerospace, warehousing, and construction.

Know-how

How do we use graphene in our gloves?

We start with raw graphite and separate it into appropriate layers, transforming it into graphene. Next, we liquefy the graphene, turning it into Graphene Oxide (GO). We then covalently bond the Graphene Oxide (GO) to the host yarns. This bonding ensures that the graphene remains integrated with the yarn, preventing it from flaking, shedding, or coming off. By embedding graphene into the yarns that make up our gloves, we enhance their properties with the remarkable benefits of graphene.

The Key Advantages of Graphene Work Gloves

Our cut-resistant gloves provide superior protection against cuts while benefiting from the unique properties of graphene. By incorporating graphene fiber, our gloves not only enhance cut resistance but also offer bacteriostatic, thermal-regulating, UV-protecting, and odor-neutralizing features, ensuring exceptional comfort and protection in demanding work environments.

YARN DIVISION & OTHER APPLICATIONS

We use our patented Kyorene graphene fiber not only to create protective work gloves but also to revolutionize the textile industry, incorporating it into products like sportswear, denim, jackets, workwear, socks, and underwear, all enhanced with advanced features such as antibacterial, anti-odor, and thermal regulation properties.

Additionally, Kyorene is found in various applications such as water filtration, mattress ticking, towels, bedding, and even toothbrush bristles.
